Artist Bio

Avi Avalos is a visual artists from San Antonio Tx. The breath of his work ranges form paintings, sculptures, performance, entertainment, fashion, photography and design. He considers his work as a visual dialog between the work and the viewer. His work is a visual commentary on culture and current events. His work has been featured in art festivals, galleries and special events in San Antonio and abroad.

In 2012 his desire was to do more with art than just viewing paintings in a gallery and was inspired by the question "what is the purpose of art in society?" His conclusion was that art should inspire and if artist want to make an impact on society it should be social. In efforts to grow the cultural art awareness in San Antonio he determined that Fiesta, which is the cites annual two week festival, would be the best location to carry out his mission of taking fine art and entertaining through art into public places. MrPiñataSA was conceived to connect with the people and culture of San Antonio and create a positive impact through art introduced during Fiesta 2013.

Through his continued efforts MrPiñataSA has become part of the San Antonio’s culture.

MrPiñataSA represents the vibrant Mexican American art community and San Antonio culture. MrPiñataSA is known for his piñata graffiti.

Since MrPiñataSA’s introduction in 2012 he has been working with community leaders, schools, non profits and city events making special guests appearances and public art installations using piñata graffiti. He is now a recognized personality in the city of San Antonio Texas making a positive cultural impact.
